Originally starting off with a passion for painting and keen interest in street art, spending most of his free time during school years fixated to the paint brush or spray can. His art is impacted from his ongoing travels and exposure to different cultures and traditions. 


While primally creating in the more traditional media, he is highly proficient working in the digital format providing many services such as product design, geometric patternwork, vector images, intricate prints and animation. Enveloping himself into his art form has allowed him develop his own unique style. Incorporating all aspects of his practice from his love of abstract, foundations in street art combined with his experience in graphic design has allowed him to carve out his own mode of expression while taking inspiration from every day.  

His creative process is greatly influenced by comic books, tattoo art, paganism, sacred geometry and graffiti. His favourite artists include George Condo, Pablo Picasso, BC Binning, Paul Klee, and Paul Ygartua

His modern take on cubist expressionist artwork boasts a selection of strong contrasting primary tones, line art techniques as well as an abundance of surface patterns that create a visual texture as rich as it is timeless in appeal. Contemporary, bold & dramatic yet enigmatically elegant in its eloquence. The complicity in his work is a depiction of the interdependent relationship between us as human beings.

Cai Nai works from his studio which is located in East Vancouver, BC, Canada. A large portion of his work is available to purchase from his store in the form of intricate prints and evocative canvas paintings, as well as stickers, magnets and enamel pins. Harmonious and charismatic style, big ideas and the most pleasent and vigorous customers. People who admire his extraneous works are free spirits just like him. He is also on hand to discuss commission and requests/orders for both private and corporate clients in the form of digital and traditional media.
